Frequently Asked Questions Links
FAQ's & Help using MyASCnet Q: How do I log-in? A: Use the email address you feel would be most likely on file at
ASCnet.
Q: What password should I use? A: First try your ASCnet ID. If you don't know your ASCnet ID, there
is a link to reset password via email. (be sure to check your spam
folders after using the forgot password link)
Q: Are the passwords case sensitive and how long do they need to be? A: Passwords need to be 6 characters or longer and are NOT case
sensitive.
Q: I tried to log-in but I get an error "No records were found with the login
information you provided." Q: How quickly until the updates occur, such as email address? A: Updates are instant. If you change your email, the new email will
be your new log-in instantly.
A: No- Over 95% of our primary users are in the database. If you have
attended a conference, a summit, signed on to the newsgroups, received a
mailing, etc... chances are you are in the database and it is more than
likely that there is no need to create a new record. Please contact the
ASCnet Office for assistance.
Q: The system can't find my email when I try to log in. A: Try variations of your email since some people have altered
their email address in recent years because of spam and we may have a
previous email on file. (ex: JohnSmith@Agency.com, jsmith@agency.com,
john@agency.com )
Q: I tried to reset my password via email, but I am prompted that there are multiple records associated with my email, how can this be and what do I do? A: Some users have multiple records associated with their position in
the agency (one person can be a contact for many locations and can
appear as multiple records) and other users have inaccurate multiple
records because of duplicates in our system based on committee codes and
volunteer activities, but it is most likely that the email
address for the individual record is also for the agency
record. Send an email to get
your password corrected. If you have a generic
email such as info@ we would like to list this for the agency /
brokerage record.
Q: The Main Contact listed is either no longer with our agency or shouldn't be the Main Contact. How can I change this? A: Send an email to
ASCnet to get the Main Contact record modified.
Q: On our roster it lists the same Main Contact multiple times EX: "Main Contact is: John Smith Main Contact is John Smith", why is that and how can we get this corrected? A: We have a number of duplicates in our system from a data merge. Send an email to ASCnet to have
one of the Main Contact listings removed.
Q: MyASCnet stores a lot of data, does it store credit card information as well? A: No, we do not store credit card information in MyASCnet. During
processing the card is encrypted and the info is not stored on the
sterver for future purchases.
Q: The committee list is incorrect and should have people added or removed, what do I do? Send an email to ASCnet to have the roster adjusted.
Q: I have opted-out of
receiving emails, how do I opt back in?
Known Technical IssuesQ: The first time I visited the site, it asked me if I wanted to continue logged in as current user, but I have never logged in before. A: On your browser if you have ever selected "remember password" for
ASCnet areas such as handouts, the Chapter Officer Area, the Board of
Directors Website, etc... the system is trying to remember your session.
Select log
out to end the prior 'session', and then try to log in using
your email address. |
