Board of Directors
ASCnet Board members are elected by the membership to serve a 3 year term. They are selected via a nominations process from the entire membership at large.
The ASCnet officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Past Chair, Secretary & Treasurer) are appointed by the Board from the pool of elected directors which can become almost a seven year commitment to the organization.

Chapters Committee
COMMITTEE MISSION:
The Chapters Committee is charged with the overall mission to foster the development and maintenance of strong affiliated
local chapters throughout the US, Canada, and the UK.
COMMITTEE PURPOSE:
- 1. Promoting and encouraging the development of leadership at the local chapter level
- 2. Encouraging the communication of chapter-related information from the national organization to the local chapters and
among the local chapters themselves
- 3. Monitoring development of chapters and acting as an intermediary for chapters-in-need
- 4. Coordinating activities with other ASCnet committees as deemed necessary from time to time.
- 5. Assist chapters in re-aligning By-Laws to coincide with changes to National Board.

COMMITTEE MISSION:
The CCC was created as a sub-committee of the Chapters Committee to enhance the communication between the ASCnet operating committees and the chapter leaders. Members of the Chapters Committee volunteered to be chapter representatives to each of the other committees with the purpose of serving as the voice of the chapters and the conduit for information back to the chapter leaders and the Chapters Committee.

Governance Committee
COMMITTEE MISSION:
The Governance Committee is charged with the overall mission to provide guidance to the ASCnet Board of Directors and CEO to assure the ASCnet’s bylaws protect both the rights of the ASCnet
membership and the Board’s ability to govern the organization.
COMMITTEE PURPOSE:
- Assist the Board in its interpretation of the Association’s Bylaws, policies and procedures.
- Conduct periodic reviews of the Bylaws and recommend changes to the Board when needed.
- Review governance policies and changes prior to vote by the Board of Directors. Participate in Conference Calls as needed.
- Collaborate and communicate with the ASCnet Board of Directors and committees to ensure consistent, accurate and open communication channels for advancement of strategic plan initiatives.
- Volunteer at ASCnet booth or committee table at TENCon.

Industry Solutions Committee
COMMITTEE PURPOSE:
- The Industry Solutions Committee coordinates the resources of ASCnet to coordinate and work with future trends and raise awareness. To encourage implementation of technology and workflows that drive positive growth in value and profitability for ASCnet agencies/brokerages through education, outreach and advocacy.
- 1. Educate ASCnet agencies/brokerages regarding the value of available interface transactions, including commission
download and commercial lines download.
- 2. Serve as a communication and advocacy link for ASCnet and the ASCnet Board of Directors in fostering and working
with other insurance industry organizations (ACT / ACORD)
- 3. Collaborate and communicate with Applied Systems to identify interface advocacy opportunities, including download
and real-time transactions.
- 4. Collaborate and communicate with other ASCnet committees to ensure consistent, accurate and open communication
channels for advancement toward the strategic plan, (e.g., Interface, Chapters and Education), as deemed necessary
from time to time.

Product Advisory Committee
COMMITTEE MISSION:
The PAC is committed to providing Applied Systems ASCnet end user resource for inputs and feedback to ensure
continuous advancement in the agency management software applications.
COMMITTEE PURPOSE:
- 1. Provide user expertise and application knowledge to ASI Product Management to ensure ASCnet member voice is
considered in future development, enhancements and product modifications of ASI agency management applications.
- 2. Serve as a communication link between the ASCnet Board of Directors and ASI Product Managers in product
development and strategic mapping discussions and information exchange.
- 3. Collaborate and communicate with other ASCnet committees to ensure consistent, accurate and open communication
channels for advancement toward the strategic plan, (e.g., Interface, Chapters and Education), as deemed necessary
from time to time.
